Greenwood Homeowner’s Association
General Meeting: 4/25/17
I. Call to Order
Ø Treasurer, Anthony Stampone, called the meeting to order at 7:28pm.
Ø Members present: Secretary, Lindsay O’Connor; Arch Review, Hank Green; At Large, Paul Eckhardt; Arch Review, Deneal McGowans
Ø Absent: Dan Burnside, Andy Claxton
Ø 5 homeowners present
II. Minutes from the HOA Executive Meeting on 2/21/17 were reviewed and approved.
III. Treasurer’s Report – Anthony Stampone
a. No major changes in checking and money market accounts. Only 1 house is behind in dues by 2 quarters, they were notified and are in the process of catching up.
IV. Old Business
a. Neighborhood Watch Signs
Ø Awaiting the signs from Sheriff Hoffman, Dan Burnside to follow up with Sheriff Hoffman this week.
b. Boats and RV Lot
Ø Paul is in contact with Marc Thomas / Willards as our new towing company and is in the process of obtaining a new tow sign for the lot.
Ø Spring Clean up: Email will be sent to the community on a Spring Clean Up day. The boat and RV lot needs cleaned out of items that do not have a Greenwood sticker. If anyone has items back there not marked, please email or call Dan Burnside for a community sticker, otherwise, it is going to the dump during spring clean up. A donated volleyball net needs put up and trash picked up around the community.
V. New Business
a. Bates Trash
Ø Bates contract is up July 3rd and require a 30 day notice. Anthony Stampone will ask for a competitive bid.
Ø Anthony Stampone and Dan Burnside met with Chessie Environmental to obtain an additional bid. They quoted the community $18/can, same size trash can and recycling. We will also ask for the same schedule. Anthony Stampone made a motion to accept the Chessie Environmental contract. Deneal McGowans seconded it. This vote is pending the results of the competitive bid from Bates. Anthony Stampone will contact Chessie within the next 2 weeks upon acceptance of the contract.
b. Portable Commode for the park
Ø Vote was made to bring back the portable commode for the Park starting May 1st for 6 months. The cost remains the same at $80/month with weekly cleanings. Hank made a motion to start the portable commode May 1st, Anthony Stampone seconded it. Motion passed. Anthony Stampone will call for delivery and set up.
c. Pavilion Reservations
Ø Just a reminder that pavilion reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. You can check the availability online on our website at: greenwoodhoa.com/events
Ø As a reminder, you are responsible for all clean up after your reservation. You are also responsible for placing the trash can at the sidewalk for trash pick up!!
d. Sharps Tree and Lawn
Ø Paul Eckhardt contacted Sharps for mosquito spraying in the community. Quote was obtained and remained the same price as last year. Board will pay for 2 sprays in May & June and 1 spray in July & August. If we feel we need an additional spray in July or August, we can call for an additional spray.
