Greenwood Homeowner’s Association
General Meeting 6/15/16
I. Call to Order
Ø President, Lindsay O’Connor, called the meeting to order at 7:14pm.
Ø Members present: President, Lindsay O’Connor; Treasurer, Anthony Stampone; Secretary, Dan Burnside; Arch Review Deneal McGowans, Hank Green; At Large, Paul Eckhardt; Community Member: Wendy Eierman
Ø Absent: Andy Claxton
II. Minutes from the HOA Executive Meeting on 5/23/16 were reviewed and approved.
III. Treasurer’s Report – Anthony Stampone
a. Balances were reviewed for both checking and money market accounts with minimal changes; bills are paid and up to date. Currently, there are 3 homes are behind $299 or more in dues. Will continue to monitor. The treasurer has asked for homeowners to please use the PO Box and not place their checks in the Stampone mailbox!
IV. Old Business
a. Bates Trash
Ø Thus far, no real issues have been brought to the board on any further problems. Will continue to monitor for any further issues. Anthony noted a monthly fuel surcharge on our community bill and he will call Bates for clarification.
b. Sharp Tree & Lawn
Ø Contract has been signed for spraying 1x/month from May to September and the board has decided to keep it at 1x/month unless for there is a big community event which may need an extra spray. Board decided against mosquito pods for the pond as the county has advised us that the natural environment of the pond is enough repellant for the pond area.
c. Speeding and increase in motorcycle speeding around community
Ø After multiple complaints about car and motorcycle speeding in the neighborhood, the Board did send out an email to the neighborhood and also posted it on the Greenwood Facebook page reminding the neighborhood on speeding and summer rules.
V. New Business
a. Greenwood Directory
Ø Our neighborhood directory is 3 years old and it was brought to the board’s attention to update the directory. A letter will be included in the next dues mailing for all neighbors to update and provide their information. A new directory will be developed and mailed to all neighbors in the fall.
b. Bridge for Pond
Ø Paul Eckhardt inquired about purchasing a wooden bridge to place over the concrete slab to make a walking path around the pond. Paul will obtain a quote to present at the next meeting for a vote.
c. Portable Commode for the Park
Ø Discussion was held on renting a portable commode for the park during the summer months. Anthony obtained a quote of $80.00/month plus tax which includes delivery and all maintenance. Paul made a motion to accept this quote, Anthony seconded it. The portable commode will be delivered next week with the possibility of pick up after September.
