Greenwood Homeowner’s Association

 Executive Meeting 8/12/15

         I.      Call to Order

Ø  President, Lindsay O’Connor, called the meeting to order at 7:37pm. 

Ø  Members present: President, Lindsay O’Connor; Secretary, Dan Burnside; Treasurer, Anthony Stampone; At Large, Hank Green; Arch Review, Paul Eckhardt; Arch Review, Deneal McGowans

Ø  Absent: Vice President, Andy Claxton

       II.      Minutes from the HOA Executive Meeting on 5/4/15 were reviewed and approved.

     III.      Treasurer’s Report – Anthony Stampone

a.        Balances were reviewed for both checking and money market accounts with minimal changes; bills are paid and up to date.  Currently, 3 homes are behind $299 or more in dues.  Anthony will be filing these 3 homes with the County in attempt to get payment.

b.       The HOA will give a $300.00 donation to the GVFD on behalf of the Greenwood Community.

 

     IV.      Old Business

a.        Entrance Fence

Ø  Still in the process of repair.

 

b.       Community Service

Ø  If any neighbor has children who need community/volunteer service for school credits, please have them contact a board member.   The board would be happy to sign off on school appropriate community service if the community has a need for it.  The board would also like to thank those community residents who have been continually picking up trash around the community, it is greatly appreciated. 

 

c.        Storm Water Management Area

Ø  The HOA is in the process of purchasing 2 beaver grates for the sewer drains in hopes of preventing the beavers from building further dams.  The HOA will be cleaning the drains, purchasing the grates and installing the grates in both drains within the next month.

 

d.       Mosquito Control Service

Ø  The spray will continue one more time in August and 1 more spray for September to finish out the season.

 

       V.      New Business

 

a.        Boat Yard

Ø  The board was notified by a community resident that 2 batteries were stolen from their boat in the boat/RV storage lot.  A discussion was held on providing a combination lock for the gate and possibly other security measures by the gate for anyone attempting to come into the boat lot.  Once the lock is purchased, every homeowner will receive a letter on the combination and responsibilities on locking the gate after every use.  Anthony will be purchasing a chain and lock for the gate.

 

b.       Entrance way to boat lot

Ø  The HOA will be contacting Green Acres for trimming and cleaning the entrance way to the boat lot.

 

c.        Elections

Ø  October will be the next General HOA meeting and the 2016 board elections. Ballots will be ready for the next meeting.  If any homeowner wishes to be added to the ballot, please notify a board member.
