Greenwood Homeowner’s Association

General Meeting 2/12/14

        I.      Call to Order

Ø  President, Dan Burnside, called the meeting to order at 7:45 pm. 

Ø  Present: Lindsay O’Connor, Paul Eckhardt, Andy Claxton, Anthony Stampone, Hank Green

Ø  Absent: Mike Scopp

      II.      Minutes from the HOA Interim Meeting on 12/10/13 were reviewed and approved.

   III.      Treasurer’s Report – Anthony Stampone

a.       Balances were reviewed for both checking and money market accounts with minimal changes; bills are paid and up to date.  Approx 60% invoices are paid up to date with a few houses 2+ quarters behind, those homeowners will be receiveing a written notice.

 

    IV.      Old Business

a.       HOA Increase

Ø  The 5% increase in dues will take effect the second quarter of 2014 with an increase of $125.00 to $131.25.  For those homeowners who have paid in full for 2014, they will get a bill for the difference on their 4th quarter statement.

 

b.       Storm Drains

Ø  The letter we sent a year ago, has never been addressed by the county.  Dan Burnside attempted to hand deliver this letter to the County this week and the offices were closed.  Dan will reattempt and contact Todd Mohn to address the worsening problems with the storm drain holes around the community.

 

c.        Sidewalk request

Ø  AJ Ventures was notified that the sidewalk request was not approved by the board.  They are looking at other options.

 

      V.      New Business

   

a.       Waste Managment

Ø  The Waste Mangement contract is up October 2014.  Additional bids from other trash & recycling companies will be looked into before a decisison by the board will be made.

 

b.       Damage to Park  

Ø  Nationwide Insurance was contacted regarding the damage to the park and front entrance.  Green Acres also contacted for estimate to repair.

 

c.        Eletricity at Pavilion

Ø  Estimates are being received for both solar lights at the pavilion and from Delmarva for running electic to pavilion.  Dan Burnside to follow up and report estimates for next meeting.

 

d.       Spring Clean Up Day

Ø  A few things within Greenwood need repaired and/or fixed that would be more efficient to do ourselves.  A spring clean up day will be held in April, date TBD and will be posted for all neighbors to participate.  Repairs include repairing lights in front of community; painting the Greenwood sign and fence; replacing new soccer and lacrosse nets for field.  Spring picnic to be held after clean up day for all participants.
